The governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, harshly criticized the policies of Javier Milei's government, pointing out that the current administration seems to ignore the real needs of the population. For Quintela, the president only seems to celebrate the achievements of his 'bosses,' referring to the economic sectors that support him, without showing concern for the well-being of the people.
In a radio interview, Quintela warned that the president must change his policies or face the consequences. He compared the current situation to the crisis that led to Fernando De la RĂșa's resignation in 2001, recalling the financial collapse and the tragic human losses of that period.
The governor of La Rioja emphasized that the beginning of a presidential term is usually characterized by a 'honeymoon' phase, during which various political actors try to collaborate with the new president. However, according to Quintela, Milei's administration has failed to address the basic needs of the population, such as food, education, and health.
In this context, Quintela stated that if the president is unable to guarantee the essentials for the population, he should reconsider his continuity in office. Warnings such as those made by the governor of La Rioja highlight concerns about government policies and their impact on society and the political stability of the country.
